Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of
Senior IT Specialist our NYS Office of the State Comptroller Team located in Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities: Daily tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
- Document and categorize existing business processes.
- Compose and review business system documentation.
- Assist with the communication of business process and system requirements to IT staff and other stakeholders.
- Utilize established business processes and technology to identify, analyze, and solve production problems/issues.
- Review and analyze business process deficiencies requiring resolution during or after implementation.
- Perform configuration analysis to determine the most efficient way to migrate system changes.
- Work with stakeholders to design and develop deployment plans that allow for the effective and efficient implementation of all new business processes and system components.
- Facilitate the execution of deployment plans.
- Create tickets in a ticket management system, determine the priority and severity of reported incidents, reassigning to support teams and overseeing that incidents are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with business and technical staff to analyze any problems identified during the deployment process and develop solutions that effectively address those problems.
- Work directly with operational bureau managers and staff in order to facilitate, coordinate and complete the numerous activities required as business owners of the Deployment Phase of the System Development Life Cycle.
Qualifications: 60 - 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 72 months of Information Technology experience in at least five of the following areas:
- Liaison with functional users and management
- Requirements Gathering
- Configuration Management
- Release Management and Deployment
- Troubleshooting and Debugging
- Functional Documentation and Design
- Post Implementation System Monitoring
- Software Development Lifecycle Planning
- 72 months experience performing configuration based analysis in one or more of the following PeopleSoft modules CRM, HCM, FIN & IB.
- 72 months of experience participating in event intake, triage, incident response, escalation of incidents and stakeholder communications.
- 72 months of experience in deployment and release management, including: data analysis of object contention and configuration lists.
- 48 months experience creating and maintaining standardized reports for executives and senior management.
- 48 months of experience in Change Management in the course of fulfilling user requests, resolving incidents, and meeting operational commitments.
- 48 months of experience developing procedures, standards, workflows, documentation and visualizations.
- Bachelor's Degree in any field
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $49.00 and $59.00
