RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Operations Team Lead in Redmond, WA.Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of system engineers to provide robust operations support, ensuring smooth and efficient system functioning across various platforms
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Take ownership of resolving complex technical issues, including OS, Windows Update, Windows firewall, BIOS, and software-related challenges, ensuring quick resolution and minimal service disruption
  • Production Environment Leadership: Lead and support production environments for Azure (both Dev and Prod needs), ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of services and platforms
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Lead initiatives to ensure that all production documentation is up-to-date and accessible; Mentor team members and guide them in creating, updating, and utilizing technical knowledge resources
  • Incident & Problem Resolution: Take the lead in resolving critical production incidents and problems, providing strategic direction for fast resolution, and helping the team improve its response times and troubleshooting capabilities
Production Service Development & Strategy:
  • Service Design & Implementation: Play a key role in the design, planning, and implementation of new production services; Ensure that new services are aligned with business needs and are implemented efficiently.
  • Production Deployment Support: Oversee and guide production service deployment activities, ensuring a seamless roll-out with minimal impact to end-users
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in production services, focusing on scalability, automation, and security; Lead efforts to enhance infrastructure services to meet evolving business requirements


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure management and production support, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role
  • Core Microsoft Infrastructure Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows, IIS, DHCP, WDS, WSUS, Hyper-V, Azure, DFS, and similar technologies
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, Python) to automate tasks, enhance performance, and streamline operations
  • Configuration Management: Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and SCCM. Ability to lead the development and implementation of scalable configuration management strategies
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams; Excellent communication, customer service, and analytical skills
  • Problem-Solving & Strategic Planning: Expertise in problem resolution, system optimization, and analytical troubleshooting; Ability to lead complex projects and initiatives, aligning technical solutions with organizational goals
  • Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure, while ensuring that team members are supported and guided effectively


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
