Parts Room Attendant

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining inventory in inventory tracking system, performing usage analysis, keeping parts room clean and orderly, dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed, identifying and monitoring parts flow by parts numbers, releasing purchase requisitions to plant maintenance manager or purchasing supervisor for approval, receiving all maintenance parts, signing vendor tickets, filling out receiving reports for accounts payable, delivering parts to maintenance personnel for particular job, stocking inventory in parts room and printing documentation on inventory replenishment; other duties as assigned.

Daily Duties:

• Utilize SAP to order machine spare parts as outlined in the spare parts book
• Receive parts in SAP(Daily), PJ/PIT Operation.
• Issue parts in SAP(Daily), PJ/PIT Operation.
• Request quotations for machine parts from vendors via email.
• Prepare small packages & freight for shipments, up to 60lbs.
• Stock machine parts and maintenance supplies, transfer from upstairs, up to 60lbs.
• Inventory count of maintenance supplies and parts, up to 60lbs.
• Inventory Maintenance supplies, up to 60lbs, PJ/PIT Operation.
• Record parts used on checkout sheet (Daily)
• Communicate issues via email during shift.
• Sweep storeroom thoroughly. (Monthly)
• Miscellaneous Duties (As needed)
• Work with blocked invoices when discrepancy occurs in the system.
• Send PO to vendors if they did not receive it from the system.
• Coupa Parts Procurement

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year of manufacturing experience required
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required; must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior experience in SAP is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.
• Special Skills: Knowledge of parts and tools used in a plant; ability to prioritize work.
• Supervisory: NA
• Travel: NA
• Must reside in the United States to be considered.
• No sponsorship available with this position.

WORKING HOURS: (Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm. Weekend as needed)
