The Patient Navigator-Orthopedics is an experienced clinical professional who provides guidance and education to patients and families, as well as a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities for an assigned provider and orthopedic service (shoulder, hand, spine, joints, non-surgical, sports medicine, pediatrics, podiatry). This position is responsible for assisting the patient throughout the duration of care and serves as the main contact for the patient. The Patient Navigator-Orthopedics has the significant responsibility of and accountability for managing the service for the provider.

Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. 2 years or more of experience as a Medical Assistant. Excellent interpersonal skills. Certified as a Medical Assistant by one of the following bodies: AAMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA or MedCA. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS). Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other internal/external parties in a professional, courteous and friendly manner at all times. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
