The Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour day-shift Physician Assistant to support our Orthopedics team, Monday-Friday. The Physician Assistant will split their time between all three of our clinic locations based on need. Our clinics are located at:

- 4 Centennial Drive, Suite 201, Peabody, MA (clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

- 100 Cummings Center, Suite 136P, Beverly, MA 01915 (clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

- 104 Endicott Street, Danvers, MA 01923 (clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM)

At North Shore Physicians Group, our orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialists are committed to providing each patient with exceptional care. Our services include Back and Spine, Hand and Upper Extremity, Hip and Knee, Foot and Ankle, Orthopedics Walk-In, Shoulder and Sports Medicine.

Working as one focused team, our orthopedic, spine, and sports medicine experts develop effective and personalized treatment plans for our patients. We offer our patients world-class care in a supportive and convenient location, close to home and family. We use the most advanced technology available to diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions including advanced MRI, robotic surgery, and orthobiologics to help our patients reach their full potential.

Our Physician Assistants are responsible for:

• Providing direct care, counseling, and teaching to orthopedics patients in the outpatient ambulatory setting

• Performing complete histories and physical examinations

• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests

• Developing appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings

• Ordering medications and writing prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures

• Consistently providing high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries

• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population

• Acting as first-assist in the operating room

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's degree in physician assistant studies required
Experience:
  • Prior Orthopedics experience preferred
Certification:
  • Certified Massachusetts Physician Assistant licensure required upon hire
