Responsibilities

Provides administrative, clerical, and academic support to the College of Medicine Office of Medical Education.

Provides administrative and clerical support to faculty and staff within the Office of Medical Education (OME); duties to include: populating and maintaining M1 and M2 student calendars; maintaining timelines through faculty reminders; tracking student attendance; alerting faculty to excused absences; room scheduling; providing information for distribution lists; providing course faculty information to HR; completing textbook adaptation compliance.

Provides academic support for pre-clerkship courses; duties to include uploading content to Canvas sites; tracking submission of student assignments and faculty feedback; alerting course directors to missing assignments or feedback; preparing and distributing rosters and materials for small groups; other duties as assigned to back up positions #57540 and #56927.

Provides support for summative and formative assessments; duties to include proctoring web-based exams; maintaining up-to-date training as an NBME proctor; scheduling proctors and executing payment requests for OPS proctors.

Handles inquiries by phone, e-mail and direct contact from students, staff, and faculty. Serves as the records manager for OME. Refers to the State of Florida Records Retention Schedules to determine retention requirements. Responsible for shredding of records approved for destruction.

Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork in accomplishing the mission and goals of the OME, including meeting key unit deadlines.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
