Job Title:Program Coordinator, Office of Global InnovationsDepartment:Nursing | College Administration

The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the Office of Global Innovations within the College of Nursing, managing a diverse range of projects related to community outreach, university and international partnerships, and grant proposal development. This position serves as the primary contact for the office, overseeing project status, making recommendations to the Chief Global Strategy Officer (CGSO), and performing essential administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, managing calendar and travel arrangements, and handling various logistical and communication tasks.

Project Coordination:

  • Develop and implement projects focused on community outreach, international partnerships, and grant proposals.
  • Monitor and assess project status, offering recommendations to enhance future programming.
  • Manage the proposal and reauthorization process for education abroad programs.

Administrative Support:

  • Serve as the primary initial screening point of contact for the Office of Global Innovations.
  • Schedule meetings and calendar, make appointments, and handle all travel arrangements for national and international meetings.
  • Process visas for visiting scholars and manage all logistics related to their visits, including transportation and course schedules.
  • Assist faculty and CGSO with Carmen Canvas course development and advise students on the Global Option Nursing program requirements.
  • Track the number of students on the GO Nursing pathway and maintain contact.

Program Management:

  • Manage program outcomes, participant tracking, and CGSO budgetary requests.
  • Coordinate with the CGSO to schedule international visits, workshops and oversee logistics.
  • Manage the Moodle learning platform for virtual programs and handle online registration processes.
  • Communicate with vendors, visitors, and workshop participants, produce evaluation summaries, and maintain relationships.

Communication & Documentation:

  • Compose correspondence, draft materials for signatures, and manage meeting minutes.
  • Under CGSO requests, produce marketing content for OGI website and manage workshop communications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the CGSO, handle travel arrangements, and manage confidential data.
  • Correspond with students regarding program materials and online courses.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of program and administrative support experience.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS) and Qualtrics is desirable as is APA and referencing protocols..
  • Familiarity with Carmen Canvas (OSU's online LMS) and community-based research/global health issues is preferred. Workday experience is highly desired.
  • Experience with campus/community partnerships is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25-30 lbs.
  • Availability for some evening and weekend hours.
  • Access to a vehicle for job-related duties.
