POSITION PURPOSE:
The Project Leader, System Design - Development (Operations) is a key member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT leaders for the delivery of business system design and development used to enable and support critical business functions and processes across the enterprise. This position requires expertise in areas of business operations, business processes, application technologies, critical business data, and key operational reporting and analytics across the key business functions of Sales, Service Management, Customer Care, and Marketing. Responsibilities include; enterprise architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, solution development, service support, application security and IT compliance. Support production systems including analyzing and resolving production problems and end user service requests as appropriate. Provide a high-level of customer service across the organization with a primary focus on systems availability, performance, reliability, security, and established service level metrics.





IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.



Experience
* 5+ years total experience in Information Technology, including minimum 3 years in developing solutions in complex technology environments.
* 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution industries.
* 3+ years of experience in systems development and project management.
Skills
* Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a future state vision that aligns with the IT and business strategy.
* Possesses strong leadership, communication, planning, negotiating and management skills.
* Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role
* Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
* Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units
* Ability to build consensus, making decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
* Strong sense of self, ethics and effort, as well as the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals.
* Expertise in establishing and improving DevOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).
* Extensive hands-on experience in application programming and complex system integration development.
* Extensive hands-on experience in system integration of complex application systems. (e.g. custom solutions, package solutions, Cloud, SaaS, and PaaS)
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field.





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Monitor and continue to improve upon customer satisfaction and service delivery management.
* Direct the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application eco-system that supports the company's operations and business functions.
* Recommend and manage the allocation of resources for the planning, development and delivery of all information systems services and services.
* Oversee root cause analysis process for all related incidents.
* Oversee problem tracking, RCA templates, post-mortems, and action item follow-up, monthly metrics.
* Defines, develops and manages a comprehensive and integrated ITSM landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines and related toolsets.
* Collaborates with the CISO to ensure all team members embrace and apply the appropriate security strategies.
* Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across IT and the enterprise to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in the achievement of business goals.
* Provides strategic direction and oversight for the full life cycle of design, development, operation and support of IT systems.
* Develops the maturity of solutions development and service delivery models to improve efficiency, deliver new innovations and increase collaboration with other business areas (e.g., through Agile and DevOps).
* Drives the adoption of (and commitment towards) service improvements.
* Serves on IT planning and policymaking committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics as appropriate.
* Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Typically, this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.





SCOPE - EXPECATIONS:
* Working Conditions:
* Typically works in an office environment or occasionally on or around the manufacturing or distribution floor. The noise level is usually moderate.
* Physical Tasks:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Lifting requirements are typically less than 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
* Equipment Used:
* Computers, software, hardware, mouse, telephones, and other equipment as necessary. This position may work in a computer room environment where servers and other systems are located. The noise level is usually moderate.
* Reports to: Manager, Solution Development - Integration
* Travel Requirements:
* Typically, travel is not required for this position
* Recruitment process may consist of any combination of phone, video and in person interviews.
