RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Property Tax Consultant.Responsibilities:- The Property Tax Consultant will conduct property tax assessments and valuations for company-owned properties
- Prepare and file property tax returns and ensure timely payment of property taxes
- Analyze and interpret property tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize property tax liabilities
- Represent the company in property tax appeals and negotiations with tax authorities
- Maintain accurate records of property tax payments and assessments
- Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to gather necessary information for tax filings
- The Property Tax Consultant will provide advisory services on property tax matters to senior management
- Monitor changes in property tax legislation and assess their impact on the company
- Prepare reports and presentations on property tax matters for internal stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property tax consultin
- Strong knowledge of property tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in property tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
