Job Description:
Join our dynamic healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest! The Lincoln Regional Center, a Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital inpatient and residential program, provides compassionate and comprehensive mental health services to our diverse community. In this role you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical oversight and care to adult patients with mental illness.

As a General or Forensic Psychiatrist with us, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality mental health care services. You'll work collaboratively with a talented team to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of mental health conditions. Our commitment to patient-centered care, professional growth, and community engagement sets us apart, making this an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Psychiatrist.

Pay starts at $325,000 for General Psychiatrist and $350,000 for Forensic Psychiatrist and is commensurate on education and experience.

Job Duties: (General Psychiatrist)

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Provide medication management and therapy services to individuals with mental health disorders.
  • Collaborate with a team of clinicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case reviews, treatment planning, and peer consultations.

Job Duties: (Forensic Psychiatrist)
  • Prepares specialized forensic evaluation reports for the courts and others based on knowledge of specific forensic psychiatry issues, including competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility and prediction of future dangerousness.
  • Conducts evaluations to provide opinions on civil commitment and other specialized forensic issues, as well as the psychiatric status of patients
  • Collaborate with a team of clinicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in case reviews, treatment planning, and peer consultations.

Requirements/ Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: M.D. degree and license to practice medicine in Nebraska. Completed an ACGME approved Psychiatric residency program and board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.

Forensic Psychiatrist: Must have completed an ACGME accredited forensic psychiatry fellowship and be board eligible or board certified in forensic psychiatry.
