The QEHS Packing Technician is the most experience technical position on Quality Packing and is responsible for the Incident Management process in their assigned building and ensuring the Quality standards on Packing on a shift & collaborate with other areas to reach the highest quality level, setting the quality standards on this process. Core Responsibilities:
EHS responsibilities: Support the implementation of Processes from the EHS Management system (Incident Management & EHS Process confirmation)
Detect EHS risks at the operations (Fact reports & Process Confirmation)
Support during the emergencies
Quality assurance: Verify the elements on visual, functional and dimensional using LEGO Standards.
Follow up on Non conforming material: give disposition on non conforming material by following procedures, verifying the correct containment, trace back defective material and correct traceability of non-conforming materials.
- Responsible for collecting information for daily quality reports in different forums, and for updating the information of the Quality shift debrief.
- Support the training of quality members regarding execution of the right method.
- Responsible for opening the corrective action in case of obtaining some metric in Red and uploading it to the Share Point, NCMS or relevant system and opening corrective actions to other areas (for example, molding, processing)
- Responsible for Organizing the Quality Audit team daily, programming the recovery days of the Quality team in case of having operation in 2-2-3 scheme, reporting of incidents of assistance to Labor Relations on a weekly basis (overtime, permits, etc.), and Coordination of Safety first response teams.
- Responsible for passing incidents of assistance to Employee Relations on a weekly basis (overtime, permits, etc.)
- Provide support to the Quality Engineer to gather information, supervising production orders, measure production samples, the data collection, measurement of production samples, Investigations of external complaints.
- Support the Quality Engineer while attending any meeting where the participation of a Quality member is relevant (e.g. novelties meeting).
- Support Production in the investigation of quality defects and participate in Go Look See when necessary.
- Responsible for Generating and Updating local documents.
- All other job duties as assigned
Do you have what it takes?
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing areas.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Control Quality or Quality Assurance.
- Elaborating daily Quality Reports.
- High school diploma or similar.
- Proactive and learning skills
- Effective communication
- Problem solving and questioning/inquisitive nature
- Learning ability
- Attention to details
- English fluent level
- Note: This position is based at our LEGO Virginia manufacturing factory located in Richmond. This is not a remote position.
- Note: Shift D and E - 6 am a 6pm (2 active roles)
