Basic Job Functions:
- Facilitating discussions between divisions and partners to develop aligned business processes.
- Identifying business needs, translating into functional system requirements, and create and configure rule sets within MES application.
- Solution design: define design options, analyze potential value, recommend solutions, specify and model requirements, etc.
- Testing: create test scenarios/scripts (for functional, negative and regression testing) and execute testing in various environments.
- Training: create related documentation and training for both internal and external customers/users.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years' experience detailing steel manufacturing orders.
- 2 years' experience working in a Manufacturing Execution System.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and real-world application of standard steel specifications.
- One or more year of experience programming and/or configuring within an MES or equivalent.
- Experience working within Agile methodology.
- Experience querying and/or updating SQLtables.
