SUMMARY

The Recovery Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the correspondence processing departments. Ensures work assignments are achieved accurately and according to production standards. Responsible for management of personnel, approval of timesheets, and any disciplinary actions necessary. Ensures staff are fully trained and effective. Ensures all duties are complete by delegating work to subordinates based on knowledge and skill ability. Works closely with superior to ensure compliance of all tasks as well as productivity goals are met for the department.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

Must be able to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Five (5) experience in Medicare recovery environment preferred, including: Medicare policies and procedures, MSP related systems (ReMAS, CWF/HIMR, ECRS, HIGLAS, BCRS, and image repositories).

Experience in BCRS system highly preferred.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Leads, supervises and mentors assigned staff. Provides training and direction for ensuring the achievement of maximum performance with high standards and exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Manages team workload. Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. Participates in hiring.

Identifies problems, risks, or other operational concerns and will report these through the recommended chain of command. Maintains established production and quality control standards and uses the workload tracking system to obtain related data regarding quantities, specifications, and delivery dates. May be required to assist contract and/or company management with mitigating risks and identifying solutions.

Collects, evaluates and analyzes data that can be used to assist in problem analysis, organizational analysis, and operational difficulties and recommends solutions through the appropriate chain of command.

May perform Recovery Specialist duties as needed. Maintains current knowledge of position requirements.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to present information and respond to stakeholders.

Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (oral, presentation, and written) and a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
