Job Details:

pay ranges from $26.10 to $30.10 depending on experience and education.

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Must be willing to performing preventative maintenance (PM's) and repairs on refrigeration equipment like air compressors, HVAC, cooling coils, boilers/steam and the potable water system.
• Conduct rounds to monitor and document readings for operational purposes.
• Able to complete daily log sheets, communicate effectively, and be proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and other mechanical concerns.

• Must be willing to use manuals, understand manuals, scheduling sheets and complete reports as needed.

• Must be willing to become certified in Lock-Out/Tag Out, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry.

• Must be able and willing to use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and air purified respirators (APR).

• Must be willing to work in extreme hot and cold environments, with summer temperatures up to 110 degrees.

• Must support the company personnel and food safety programs, policies and procedures, and contract employee programs. Follow all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, GMP policies.

Requirements:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of two years of ammonia related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This has to be documented in your application/resume.
• Must have boiler, ammonia and HVAC experience.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs.
• Required basic electrical troubleshooting experience including troubleshooting electrical circuits.
• Ability to work in a cold, wet, and humid environment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.
• Be able to furnish own tools.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
