JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Prepare printing machines for production runs.
- Install printing plates, mixing / adjusting ink / rollers, and configure print settings.
- Packages product based on product code requirements.
- Visually inspect product for contamination or other defects.
- Assist in training other operators as appropriate.
- Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating moving parts.
- Diagnose and fix printing issues during setup or production.
- Monitor the production process to ensure efficient operation and meet production targets.
- Mix and prepare inks according to job specifications.
- Handle and store inks, solvents, and other printing materials safely, following health and safety guidelines.
- Experience in printing process
- Ability to read and interpret Work orders, including print specifications.
- Competence in operating and adjusting complex machinery.
- Familiarity with computerized or automated printing equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safety practices, including handling chemicals (inks, solvents) and machine safety protocols.
