Provide knowledge and support to Medicare brokers by phone and email. Respond to requests and questions from brokers and internal teams in a timely, knowledgeable and friendly manner. Provide administrative support to the Broker Sales Manager and Medicare Broker Sales team as directed by their manager. Manage and support the Medicare broker appointment and annual recertification process.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research and respond to broker inquiries on applications, commissions, member eligibility, plan benefits, billing, providers, appointing with PacificSource, Medicare regulations, and more.
- Monitor all Medicare broker-related OnBase, email and phone queues. Research and resolve and respond to Broker issues.
- Facilitate email outreach to individual and groups of brokers for application issues, requests for updated licenses and E&O certificates, notification of AOR changes, client terminations, appointment terminations, pending client terminations due to delinquent premiums, recertification status and other pertinent communications.
- Create and maintain broker records in OnBase.
- Review plan change applications to ensure existing AOR is maintained.
- Utilize MARx and MMIS to evaluate member and prospect eligibility for enrollment.
- Administrative support for Sales Executive's annual recertification trainings.
- Provide administrative support to the Sales Executives as directed by their manager.
- Provide Develop, maintain and update broker, member and prospect-facing PowerPoints for sales, training and informational presentations.
- Assist with the Medicare Sales Director, Managers and Sales executives with reporting as assigned by their manager.
- Update and maintain department procedures and documents.
- Collaborate with the Agent Coordinator team on the broker appointment and re-certification processes.
Supporting Responsibilities:
- Perform general office duties, including copying, faxing, filing, mailing, and delivering supplies as needed.
- Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
- Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by their Manager.
SUCCESS PROFILEWork Experience: A minimum of 2 years office experience required; health insurance industry experience preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Idaho, Oregon, Washington or Montana health insurance license preferred.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of health insurance products, the Medicare program, Medicare Advantage regulations, Medicare supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans and the Medicare Part D drug program. Skill in using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting (or remote setting, upon approval) with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately less than 5% of the time.
