Job Description

Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a Scientific Associate to support formulations in our Professional Scientific Services group in Berkeley, CA.

Employee Responsibilities:

• Contribute to protein formulation and drug process development projects, from laboratory to commercial manufacturing
• Support formulation characterization, process and device development experiments, assays, and procedures
• Apply knowledge of GMP requirements
• Collects and compiles results and test records, analyzes and evaluates results, interprets trends
• Recommend new and innovative solutions to problems utilizing high degree of scientific creativity, independent thought and proficiency
• Communicates results and makes recommendations for future work within the project team and department
• Follow established SOPs, lab procedures, and instructions to complete work

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot problems
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to elevate relevant issues to project lead and line-management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 0-2+ years of experience
• Degree in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering or other related degree concentration
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Berkeley, California are encouraged to apply.
