Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master with a strong background in Big Data processing and the banking industry, preferably investment banking. This role involves backfilling a resource and building out new applications for control room surveillance within Compliance Risk.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and evolve Scaled Agile portfolios of the highest complexity.
• Utilize both Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with experience in JIRA to drive development.
• Facilitate processes on Scrum/Kanban teams with significant cross-functional impacts.
• Guide agile teams and the organization to follow Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices.
• Use empirical data to assess Agile Maturity, optimize team delivery, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Address systemic impediments to team agility and guide escalation methods.
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure continuous refinement of the backlog.
• Facilitate and own Scrum and/or Scaled Agile ceremonies for the team(s).
• Communicate delivery of work products and escalate key risks and issues.

Top Skills:

• 4-6 years as a Scrum Master (Certified Scrum Master)
• Agile experience
• Big Data Processing (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MongoDB)
• Banking industry experience, preferably investment banking
• Engineering background with an understanding of product development

Additional Notes:

• This is a backfill position.
• The contract is for 9 months, with a likelihood of extension and potential for conversion to a full-time role if the opportunity presents itself.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 5-6+ years of overall experience.
• Experience as a Scrum and Kanban Lead.
• Proficiency in Jira.
