Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior Scrum Master within our team. This role offers remote work opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices and Scrum ceremonies, ensuring the team adheres to Agile principles, and driving continuous improvement. The Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Facilitation:
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the team follows Agile practices and principles.
- Remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth progress of the team.
- Coach the team on Agile methodologies and practices.
- Team Support:
- Support the Product Owner in managing the product backlog.
- Assist the team in estimating and planning work.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Encourage collaboration and open communication within the team.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with the team's goals.
- Facilitate collaboration between the team and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance.
- Track and analyze key metrics to measure team performance and productivity.
- Encourage and support the team in experimenting with new practices and tools.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain and update Agile artifacts such as the product backlog, sprint backlog, and burndown charts.
- Provide regular status reports to stakeholders and management.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8 + years of proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
- 8 + years of experience of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
- 8 + years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent facilitation and coaching skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with remote and distributed teams.
- Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $95,800.00 - $158,900.0 This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. This position is classified as exempt.
