We believe that a student body that is both highly qualified and diverse in terms of culture, socioeconomic status, background, work and life experiences, skills and interests is essential to the educational process and will provide additional contributions and dimensions to the Stanford community.The Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks a Senior Assistant Director of Admission (with a focus on rural outreach) who, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Admission for Diversity Outreach and External Relations, will administer, implement university and/or interpret department admission policies and procedures. Your responsibilities include:

      Reading, evaluating and making first level recommendations on undergraduate applicants to consider for admission based on current university priorities.Managing assigned geographic territory(ies) by researching, compiling and analyzing various demographic data. Create proposal for rural outreach and present findings to management for recommendation.Acting as project manager on medium to large sized projects/programs by establishing and executing project plans, timelines, tasks, and objectives; e.g., managing the STARS College Network as well as internal and external stakeholders seeking to support college access for rural and small-town students including implementation, cross-team communication, data management and training for file review.Managing strategy and execution of all rural-student outreach efforts, including data assessment and maintenance, audience growth and engagement, digital and in-person program planning, relationship-building with high school and Community Based Organization counselors, rural and small-town travel strategy/planning, and yield programming for rural students.Conducting informational sessions for internal and external communications (e.g., prospective applicants, their parents and high school guidance counselors) on a variety of subjects (i.e., student life, research, internships, athletics, admission), based on university priorities. Developing, cultivating and strengthening relationships with secondary or university personnel, professional organizations, students, parents and alumni; e.g., foster campus partners including collaboration and programming for outreach and yield efforts.Serving as a resource to other departments; representing unit/department at activities and events, meetings, committees and conferences.Planning and executing domestic campaigns targeting rural and small-city high school students, parents and counselors.Conducting analysis on effectiveness of territorial outreach programs and making recommendations on strategies; e.g., overseeing collection of enrollment data, developing reports and analyses to make recommendations for future program development.

      Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.4 years relevant experience desired in higher education selective admission with a focus on rural and small-city high school outreach.
Working Conditions:
      May work extended or non-standard hours based on project or business needs. Occasional local and overnight travel required.

Working Standards:
      Hybrid work schedule; 2 days onsite.

The expected pay range for this position is $89,089 - $105,593 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
