Senior Buyer - Indirect (Contract Role)

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for managing VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) materials and procurement needed to support production operations at Brooks Semiconductor manufacturing plants. Manage quarterly VMI usage forecasts, BPO, validate VMI materials received against BPO, manage supplier relationships and JIT Kanban process to ensure availability of critical parts and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage operational VMI supplies and other consumables.
- Validate VMI pricing to ensure market competitive pricing.
- Forecast MRO demand and manage inventory Min Max levels for critical parts.
- Assist and support indirect team. Source hard-to-find specialty parts for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Receive and process purchase requisitions. Track orders and follow-up on deliveries.
- Resolve supplier issues and ensure on-time receipt of goods to support schedules.
- Administer MRO budget and report spending analytics. Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, and operations for new add parts to VMI.
- Stay updated on procurement best practices, technologies, and supplier offerings.
- Compile and analyze MRO spend and inventory data for management reporting.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and VMI inventory / spend management tools.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment a plus.
- Strong negotiation, analytical and relationship building skills.
- Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
