RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Developer in Houston, TX.Summary:We are seeking a Senior Developer with specialized experience in Progressive Web App (PWA) mobile development, particularly for iPhone devices running iOS 17.7 and above. This individual will play a key role in enhancing our software development process, providing technical leadership, and guiding less experienced developers. Working under broad direction, this role will involve designing and optimizing high-performance PWA mobile applications and providing solutions to complex issues affecting application functionality across various iPhone models.REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years of software development experience or 11 years of related expertise
- Experience leading technical projects and a proven track record of value creation through technical direction and innovation
- Experience developing PWAs optimized for iPhone iOS 17.7+
- Proficiency with Angular 16 and above, with strong knowledge of front-end architecture for PWA applications
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues specific to iPhone 12 and 13 models, ensuring consistent performance across iPhone versions
- Experience troubleshooting iOS-specific issues as documented in forums (e.g., FetchEvent.respondWith error on iOS 16.4+, Safari PWA app crashes after iOS 17 update)
- Familiarity with IndexedDB, caching mechanisms, and offline synchronization
- Proficient in using MacBook for in-depth analysis of mobile browser console logs
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
