As a global leader in animal health, we're seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Strategic Account Management to play a pivotal role in steering our engagement with Corporate & Specialty hospitals, Retail and Omni-channel partners. This high-impact position is at the forefront of shaping our growth strategies, ensuring alignment with broader brand goals and fostering innovation in the ever-evolving animal health industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Development:
- Spearhead the identification and cultivation of emerging business opportunities within the following key segments:
- Corporate and specialty hospitals
- Retail partners (eCommerce, Brick & Mortar, Hybrid)
- Omni-Chanel partners (Veterinary clinics + Retail)
- Conduct comprehensive oversight of the existing customer base, exploring expansion opportunities and fostering relationships with emerging partners.
2. Sales Strategy and Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement an overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, streamlining sales processes, structure, and best practices across the team.
- Manage the proposal response process, ensuring alignment with business priorities and maximizing Zoetis GTN through strategic deal structuring and pricing.
3. Strategic Planning and Financial Management:
- Oversee multiple P&Ls, driving strategic planning, business forecasting, and ensuring a positive consumer experience.
- Lead negotiations, contracts, and trade fund management, consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms while identifying optimization opportunities.
4. Innovation and Consumer-Centric Focus:
- Identify consumer-centric opportunities for innovation and collaboration, driving long-term, sustainable growth across Zoetis Brands.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and customer needs, building a dynamic short/medium/long-term sales pipeline.
5. Talent Development and Training:
- Identify proficiency gaps within the team and design and deliver training programs to enhance performance.
- Lead and coach teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achievement.
6. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, influencing and aligning with cross-functional teams to drive strategic direction.
- Interact effectively with Senior Management, peers, and other functions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) in Business, Management, Economics, or related field. MBA strongly preferred.
- 15 years of proven record in successful sales management and strategy execution, preferably in the animal health industry.
- 8-10 years of experience in team management and coaching.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and complex environment, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Physical Requirements:
- This is an office position with overnight travel of approximately 25-30%, including some weekends.
