ECS is seeking a Senior Engineer to work remote.

Job Description:

ECS is looking for a Senior Engineer to support a biometric mission critical application for the Department of Homeland Security. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for working closely with their respective Scrum Teams, Senior Architects, customer leading innovation for architecture, tools, and practices within the AWS cloud.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide design, analysis, and implementation of Cloud Information Systems Architecture, preferably in more than one Cloud Service Providers that have a FedRAMP P-ATO
  • Responsible for, or assists in, the designing of interface standards, quality assurance standards, performance standards, and cost-benefit analysis of modem state-of-the art information systems
  • Performs analysis and review of available technologies and able to navigate recommendations of technologies to increase security and efficiency of the cloud environment
  • Effective management of relationships with Federal System Owners and ability to navigate long term projects
  • Responsible for deploying and configuring services using infrastructure as a service for AWS Cloud Leading emergency and Tier III level debugging efforts
  • Identify growth opportunities and lead efforts to grow the customer footprint

Salary Range: $160,000.00 - $185,000.00

Required Skills:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security Clearance
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or additional years of experience
  • 7+ years of experience in design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
  • 7+ years of experience with Git
  • 7+ years AWS Cloud experience
  • 7+ years of Linux experience
  • 3+ years Kubernetes or Openshift
  • RHEL experience
  • Ansible experience
  • Ability to work directly with federal customers and lead a team of engineers
  • Capable of independently applying a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures

Desired Skills:
  • 7+ years' experience of AWS Cloud architecture experience for large, complex government systems
  • Experience working with Biometrics or Biomarkers
  • Relevant AWS certifications, including, but not limited to:
    • AWS Certified SysOps Developer Associate
    • AWS Certified Developer Associate
    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
  • Agile certifications
  • Relevant Red Hat Ansible certifications
