Deputy GN&C Lead Engineer

Huntsville, AL

Permanent Placement

Deputy Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Lead Engineer job in Huntsville, Alabama is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space company. In this full time, direct hire, salaried job, you will provide expertise to NASA's Human Landing System (HLS) Program at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) as a main point of contact for commercial partners and cross-programs (Orion, Gateway, and Space Launch System).

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline
• 20+ years of experience in flight control systems and analysis with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Leadership of technical teams involved in the planning, execution and completion of design analysis cycles and trade
• Proven ability to aid in the management of a diverse GNC engineering team
• Experience developing and evaluating GNC subsystem
• Experience identifying GNC system risks and developing alternative approaches to mitigate any
• Ability to develop and analyze 6-DOF dynamics simulation models used for GNC systems analysis and
• Experience working with multiple spacecraft disciples to identify and promote
• Engage in multi-disciplinary vehicle systems investigations and provide

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree in physics or an engineering discipline
• Experience with launch vehicle and spacecraft dynamics and performance (aerodynamics, flexible-body dynamics, sloshing dynamics, sensors, actuators, orbital mechanics, etc.) and their interaction with GNC systems.
• Demonstrated project or professional experience in launch vehicle and/or spacecraft system
• Capable of solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of a team
