Every Day Low Prices (EDLP) is the cornerstone of our business and our focus on prices has never been stronger. We are looking for entrepreneurial problem solvers who enjoy building and executing solutions. Be a part of a transformative team that is developing pricing strategies, building tools to set our omni prices, and implement technology at scale to improve the overall pricing experience. This function is critical to protecting our "Save Money, Live Better" promise, operating at low cost, and helping customers make purchase decisions.
You will focus on improving Walmart's leadership position in pricing by building critical tools, operations & processes, and functionality to optimize and automate Walmart's price setting and markdowns. It touches nearly everything in Walmart's omni business, spanning from data, market insights, enabling decision support for business and operations, and clear customer communication via flawless execution.
We are looking for a very driven leader to lead the development and execution of new capabilities required to ensure the continuous improvement and accuracy of our pricing solutions and platforms. You will drive a program and set the vision, drive business priorities, and co-develop the roadmap with Product, and build capabilities alongside a team of data scientists, engineers, and product managers covering various capabilities. This position is accountable for the launch, change management, rollout, and adoption of capabilities across the Walmart US business.
What you'll do...
- Single voice for product: Define the North Star and long-term strategy for Pricing capabilities for Walmart across channels, prioritize the backlog and work alongside product to build a roadmap
- Delivery & action oriented, with full program ownership: Own the program E2E, drive program management, communicate and align leadership on updates
- Develop and implement strategies to bring most accurate, timely, and consistent market insights. Ensure the continuous improvement of data quality and completeness across Walmart's omni-business.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams (engineering, product, data science, and operations), ensuring there is continuous value driven delivery
- Manage internal and external vendor partners who service competitor and market data
- Drive, build, and develop advanced analytics capabilities that will unearth insights and enable users to make better business decisions.
- Drive the adoption of data science-driven mechanisms and machine learning models to continuously evaluate and improve catalog data quality.
- Improve operational and cost efficiencies by building process and tools that can scale, using technology.
- Define metrics that will help us measure and understand data accuracy and completeness
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous delivery and improvement within the team, encouraging experimentation with new data sources, technologies, and approaches to help making better pricing decisions.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 4 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 6 years'
experience in data analytics or related field.
