POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager, Property Insurance
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager of Property Insurance will be responsible for management and oversight of the mortgage insurance program in the US and India. The candidate will help set strategic direction and drive execution while establishing and maintaining proper business controls. The position requires a leader who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment, embraces and champions change and who can effectively work with a wide variety of business partners, on multiple business initiatives. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Escrow Administration.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Examples below:
- Work with PHH Mortgage's contracted 3rd party service providers to complete insurance functions
- Ensure all mortgage loans are tracked for insurance coverage based on investor, state, and federal guidelines
- Implement and maintain a controlled process environment that ensures proper monitoring of regulatory requirements and vendor service level agreements
- Oversee vendor management responsibilities for insurance vendors, which includes issuing monthly vendor scorecards, reviewing management reporting weekly with the vendor, conducting audits, working with our corporate vendor management team to fulfill company requirements
- Report compliance and customer impact metrics based on department and corporate requirements to ensure visibility throughout the organization
- Identify and complete process improvements that result in company cost savings
- Provide mortgage customers with a positive experience via communication triggered by insurance processes
- Ensure escalations are researched with root causes identified and preventions put in place to prevent reoccurrences
- Report status of projects on a monthly basis and ad hoc basis if requested
- Lead and oversee an internal QC team responsible for quality control of insurance service providers and processes
- Ensure that all processes are tracked on the mortgage servicing systems and that records are accurate
- Lead, manage, train and motivate staff to meet or exceed objectives.
- Set comprehensive goals and objectives for the department and team members
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
- Minimum 8 years' experience in mortgage servicing, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Minimum 5 years experience working in the BlackNight MSP system preferred
- Minimum 5 years leveraging Assurant as an Insurance provider, and a thorough understanding of the process to both track and manage processes tied to private insurance policies and Lender Placed Insurance preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience preferred
- Able to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and "ever changing" environment leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven attention to detail, with excellent analytical, critical thinking, work-flow process management, problem solving, and personal organization skills.
- Ability to work with teams, especially across locations and time zones, in execution of projects and identification/ resolution of deficiencies or opportunities for improvement
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to motivate team members to achieve results and meet targets
Training / Licensing Requirements:
- Must pass the Company's Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
