At Mass General Brigham (MGB), we are developing an integrated healthcare system of the future. MGB, the largest healthcare system in the state of Massachusetts, has 2 academic hospitals, 3 specialty hospitals, 7 community hospitals, a health insurance provider (MGB Health Plan), and a Home Care division. We seek to increase value and continually improve and innovate on quality care for older adults, serving as a national model. The West Health Accelerator is a care model redesign program that seeks to improve care for hospitalized patients within MGB while creating a replicable model for scaling across small community hospitals to regional medical centers through to large academic health systems.
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Senior Project Manager (Implementation Research, Human Centered Design, and Quality and E-Care) will support the implementation of the West Health Accelerator program. In partnership with the Program Director and the Senior Project Manager (Education, Nursing Operations, and Clinical Pathways), the Senior Project Manager will provide both strategic and day-to-day guidance and support to team members of the West Health Accelerator for the implementation and continuous improvement of the older adult care model. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that work is delivered on time, on scope, and on budget while maintaining high quality standards. They will also ensure that their workstreams are integrated and consistent with the West Health Accelerator program, provide support to team members, and update leadership on project progress and health. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for acting as a thought partner to the West Health Accelerator leadership team to ensure project health and delivery. The role serves as a bridge to ensure internal and external team perspectives are considered and integrated into the project approach, while also prioritizing speed and quality.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for an individual who thrives in a highly complex, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The Senior Project Manager will work across hospital and system-level administrative teams, such as research, digital health, quality improvement, development, strategic communications, as well as clinical and administrative leaders from nursing, geriatrics, palliative care, and internal medicine. This role offers the opportunity to manage the implementation and ongoing success of a patient-first care model that ensures quality, dignity, and effectiveness for older adults. Please note that this is a grant-funded opportunity.
