Duties/Responsibilities:
• Perform high quality mechanical functions safely.
• Disassemble and retrofit heavy lift equipment i.e., mechanical, lift, drive train, low voltage, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
• Utilize part identification and inventory control systems.
• Perform repair functions using hand tools.
• Use diagnostic instruments.
• Interpret technical manuals.
• Operate heavy equipment to inspect, troubleshoot, and test.
• Maintain records of all maintenance performed.
• Adhere to 5S program.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Five years heavy equipment mechanic experience.
• Electrical diagnostics experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical material.
• Must be willing to help create detailed work instruction for continuous improvement.
• Personal mechanic tools required; specialized tools provided by company.
• This job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and the capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preference for Auto Mechanic associate degree or comparable certification. May substitute certification for 5 years of experience.
• Must have experience in routing of complex hydraulic systems as well as pneumatic systems.
