SummarySenior Research Scientists are individuals holding a Ph.D. or other terminal degree who play a significant role in enabling, facilitating, and promoting research programs through collaborative and collegial interactions with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and staff. The rank of Senior Research Scientist is a staff appointment and the most senior level within the research scientist job hierarchy. A Senior Research Scientist may apply his/her effort entirely to research or to a combination of research, training, and lab managerial activities.
Required Qualifications*Terminal Degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.V.M./, etc.) *A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant research area, and evidence of scholarly work (e.g. scientific publications, scientific grant contributions, etc.) *A minimum of 8 years of experience working with laboratory animals
* Work experience in an academic environment * More than 10 years of wet bench research experience
