Overview

i3 is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) program in Huntsville, AL. The qualified candidate will perform Systems Engineering activities related to MLRS and should be able to think holistically about a system and its requirements, have excellent critical thinking skills and can apply them to all aspects of the MLRS. The selected candidate will work in an Agile environment and attend regular scrum meetings, develop new requirements, export requirement verification matrices from DOORS, author technical documentation, and perform other related systems engineering tasks.

• Perform Systems Engineering activities related to MLRS and its requirements.
• Develop new requirements and export requirement verification matrices from DOORS.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Master's degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
• 10+ years of Systems Engineering experience or similar experience required.
• Strong background in analyzing existing system requirements and the ability to assimilate the interaction of these requirements with other functional areas such as Software Safety, Test, and Cyber.
• Experience with the development of systems/sub-systems requirements, systems and software integration, developmental and operational test planning and execution preferred.
• Experience supporting Systems Engineering throughout the Life Cycle of full Software development.
• Experience with Agile development methodology a plus.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
