Volt is immediately hiring for a Sheet Metal Former in El Cajon Ca.

As a Sheet Metal Former you will:

• Referencing lines for fabrication you will lay out, appropriately measure, and mark sheet metal
• Operate cold drawing mills and rolling mills to form sheet metal
• Cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal using manual equipment or processes
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, polish, and clean edges, seams, joins, and surfaces
• Fasten seams or joints with welds using semi-automatic weld mills to assemble components
• Inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrate punctuality, follow supervisor directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and goals, and accept constructive feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed

This is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity,.

The ideal candidate will have:.

• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• 6 months industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent of education and experience
• Knowledge of standard and basic hand tools.
• Ability understand and follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Ability to see details and handle objects.
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions

Schedule: Monday to Friday 2nd shift 1:30pm-10pm

Pay: $19-21 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
