Volt has partnered with a leading manufacturer in Garden Grove to help identify a Shipping Clerk for immediate hire.

As a Shipping Clerk you will:

• Loads, stacks, and transports products and materials by truck.
• Wraps, ties, or places products or materials in containers, boxes, or envelopes for shipping or mailing.
• Prepares products and materials for shipping by properly padding and securing.
• Compares identifying information of outgoing shipments to verify against invoices, orders, or other records.
• Maintains records of items shipped or mailed.
• Assist with all shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities
• Determines space requirements for shipments.
• Inspects and maintains material handling equipment such as lifts and hand trucks.
• Lifts, positions, and removes production units and materials within the shipping area and on/off delivery truck.
• Assembles wooden crates and binds crates and containers with straps.
• Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas.
• Verifies unit dimensions before preparing shipping containers, boxes, or envelopes.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or properly marks identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

Shift is M-F from 6am - 2:30pm with the ability to work lots of overtime and weekends when needed. Pay is $18/hr. Position is temp to hire.

Requirements:

• 1 - 3 years of shipping experience
• Basic computer and Excel skills
• Be able to pass pre-employment background and drug test

Pay Rate: $18/hr
