Objective
The Sr Manager - Supply Chain will work closely with the Strategic Programs team and the business to manage the Variable Fleet Program for the Strategic Programs Team/Clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, management of regional team members, onsite station program management, onsite vendor activation, performance and contract review, execution and setup, supply chain management activities as well as internal and external inquiry/issue resolution. Responsibilities include documenting processes, roles and responsibilities, researching and clearing bottlenecks within the supply chain, and establishing effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. The Supply Chain Manager should be able to manage multiple competing deliverables while delivering excellent service to the client(s).

Essential Functions
- Coach, mentor, and lead initially six direct reports, growing to over twenty in the first 1-2 years.
- Work with leadership to enhance and implement the strategic plan for the future of the variable fleet program.
- Manage regional and onsite team members, along with operations for over twenty-one on location variable sites.
- Lead a team that manages daily rental operations in multiple regions throughout the United States.
- Use agile methodology to lead the program and the team, assigning roles and responsibilities that will shift with the agile nature if the program.
- Work with other Strategic Program and Wheels leaders and departments, including Product, Finance, Operations, IT, HR, as One Team to accomplish program goals.
- Lead the review, documentation, and implementation of ongoing projects within the strategic program variable fleet team and within the business related to strategic program clients.
- Meet regularly with key client stakeholders to ensure that the needs of the program are being met and to ensure Wheels has a strategic advantage as a variable fleet partner.
- Ensure program vendors are effectively supporting the requirements of the program and meeting the requirements within the SOW.
- Meet regularly with senior leaders from our suppliers to ensure that key relationships are established for client escalations and escalation of performance issues.
- Identify and clear bottlenecks within the team and within the business related to the program and implement process improvement for those areas.
- Work closely with leadership, peers, direct reports and the business to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
- Prepare and present status reports, performance/SLA documents and white papers for executive, team leadership and client review.
- Manage multiple large initiatives and several smaller projects concurrently.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards for program output and project deliverables.
- Work with project managers/IT and the business to monitor cost, schedule, and performance of projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.
- Other duties assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.
Other Duties- Communicates with senior and executive leadership and functional area managers regarding status of the program and specific projects.
- Continuously validates the client setup process to ensure accuracy and maximize efficiency both operationally and financially.
- Reviews data integrity for all qualitative and quantitative system entries, including billing and reports provided to clients.
- Constantly improves knowledge of Wheels systems, programs and services. Additional professional skill development may be provided by Wheels.
- Provides reporting to strategic accounts as needed to increase client's ability to manage their business effectively and efficiently, including agreed upon monthly or quarterly metrics.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure overall departmental efficiency.

Job Specifications Leadership Responsibility: This position's leadership responsibilities involve demonstrating ethics and integrity, developing adaptability, displaying drive and purpose and exhibiting leadership stature. Coach, mentor and lead six direct reports.
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment in Alpharetta, GA or Des Plaines, IL. Will be in Georgia.
Position Type/Standard Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Travel up to 75% is expected with this position.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Five (5)+ years of prior client-facing experience working in the Vehicle Rental, Fleet, Operational Management, Financial Services or Tech industries required. 10 to 15 years
- Five (5) years' experience leading teams in vehicle rental, Fleet, Operational experience managing and developing teams in a demanding environment.
- Previous vendor management experience required.
- Fleet or rental operations experience preferred.
- Intermediate level or higher knowledge of a contact management system, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
- First 12 months will be 75% travel client stations around the country.
