The Senior Mechanical Engineer for this role will accountable for leadership, technical guidance and support in the development and optimization of maintenance systems in the mill. This position will also develop and manage capital projects necessary to sustain and improve mill systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for, and implements, safety improvement initiatives.

  • Leads and manages maintenance on mill facilities and infrastructure systems

  • Provides mechanical engineering support to initiate, design, and develop improvements to mill facilities and infrastructure systems

  • Manages mill infrastructure maintenance budget

  • Optimizes mill maintenance systems and offers counsel for entire mill in: Reliability, Spending, Workflow, Planning, Scheduling, etc.

  • Develops and executes capital projects with primary focus on infrastructure systems, buildings and grounds

  • Acts as the key interface between Kimberly-Clark Owensboro and Austin, the site maintenance contractor

  • Provides leadership and coaching development to engineers, technicians and contracted maintenance personnel.

  • Supports each product system for flow to red and shutdown conditions as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and requires a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Must be proficient in SAP and have experience in asset maintenance and reliability programs.

Preferred experience:

  • Infrastructure systems maintenance

  • TALCM - Total Asset Life Cycle Maximization

  • TPM - Total Predictive Maintenance

  • RCM - Reliability Centered Maintenance

  • SMED - Single Minute Exchange of Dies

  • Project management certification
