Facility: Kennestone Hospital
Job Summary: Position is responsible for preparation and paint related work in the facility. Candidate will provide estimates of materials required, time for job, perform patch, paint, wall coverings and sheetrock removal, repair and installation, cove base removal and installation, corner guard, acrovyn repair, install and replacement. The position will be required to manage small projects related to this discipline, including required documentation, etc. Candidate will be required to establish schedules for work and follow-up with customers. Candidate will be required to perform other functions related to the general activities in Facilities Engineering. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Maintenance and repair (paint, patch, cove base, sheetrock, wall covering) * Conducts periodic and systematic tours of interior spaces to determine repairs and maintenance required in this discipline. * Documents required repairs using work orders to maintain and establish schedules required for the work. * Acquires materials required for repair and maintenance, ensuring that all documentation is generated to include purchase requisitions, receivables, etc. * Notifies customers of pending work in their respective areas and posts signage properly. * Makes the repairs or performs the maintenance in accordance with system policy and procedure. * Follows all regulatory requirements related to this discipline. * Assists in maintaining on hand critical spare parts and materials by conducting periodic inventory and requisitioning replacements to ensure continuity of our work effort. Miscellaneous Duties * Makes monthly tours of assigned work zone and notes all repairs required for the zone. * Conducts inspections of above the ceiling fire and smoke walls in the assigned work zone to ensure penetrations are sealed as required by Code. * Notifies supervisor of such repairs, in writing, to ensure continuity of repair efforts in a proactive fashion rather than reactive. * Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Project management (as applicable). * Prepare and conduct risk assessment documentation for said projects. * Co-ordinate project meetings, schedules for installation/repair or inspection. * Compile documentation related to same and distribute as required within the timelines required for compliance. * Manage and co-ordinate the required purchase order documentation required for such projects Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education: High school diploma Preferred or GED Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
