POSITION SUMMARY
- The Senior Sales Skills Trainer is responsible for planning, designing, and delivering learning exercises, as well as developing solutions to enhance the capabilities of internal Vertiv sellers, Verti Distributors, and Vertiv Partners. This role contributes to the Americas Sales Training team and implementing a sales training curriculum, which includes creating and delivering learning assets through various modes and developing verification paths that align with other learning programs. Additionally, the role involves instructional design, teaching virtual and in-person instructor-led sessions, and eLearning development in RISE.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Design, develop and deliver high profile, high impact Sales training programs delivered in multiple modes - instructor-led and virtual workshops, train -the-trainer, self-paced online courses and videos, and technical solution lab exercises.
- Analyze, design, and implement a formalized selling methodology that supports the overall performance of our sales team and ensures they have the skills to achieve their goals.
- Define and manage program objectives and competencies for the Americas and consider how they might be tailored for Global use.
- Travel to sales offices and events to deliver training and coaching.
- Standardize learning/mentoring plans for recruiting and onboarding of new associates.
- Develop internal relationships with Sales leaders, Offering and Marketing teams to align sales training activities with business needs.
- Understand and define target associate personas to design instruction that resonates with the audience.
- Measure program objectives and impact against agreed to success metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Instructional Design, or other related degree and /or equivalent work experience.
- Professional Sales Training Certification (ex. Sales Mastery, NASP, or CSE), Instructional Design, and/or Instructor Certifications preferred.
- 5+ years progressive professional experience developing and delivering high impact sales and technical training programs
- 5+ years' proven project management skills including planning work, prioritizing and managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and delivering results with tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers to transfer knowledge
- Experienced facilitator and coach with expert skills in virtual and online delivery methods, including media and video
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, paired with sound business judgment
- Familiarity with an A.D.D.I.E. development process and past successful partnership with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented, global work environment
- Passion and interest in developing people
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED - 25% Travel to sales offices.
