Staff Accountant (SHUSA)

Sonic Healthcare USA (SHUSA) has an exciting opening for a Staff Accountant in our Austin, Texas office. This is not a remote position.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general ledger postings, account reconciliations, assistance with monthly close process, bank reconciliations, and other special projects. This role requires working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in order to manage the financial reporting aspect of this role. Knowledge of spreadsheet software is also required.

Essential Job Duties:

• Post daily/weekly/monthly journal entries
• Assist in month end close process
• Provide monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Review variances between GL and subledgers
• Coordinate with divisional accounting teams on a routine basis
• Support as needed for special finance centric projects.
• Other duties of a general accounting nature, as assigned.

• BBA degree in finance, accounting, business or related field preferred.
• Minimum one (1) years relevant experience required. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• High degree of intelligence and the ability to analyze and comprehend new situations quickly.
• Excellent mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel and database applications.
• A high degree of creativity and ability to think strategically.
