Position: Staff Accountant

Duration: Direct Hire

Salary: 80,000-90,000

Location: Fairfield (fully onsite besides Fridays)

General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closings.
• Assist in account reconciliations, including bank statements and balance sheet accounts.

2. Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders as needed.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and schedules.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding, and prepare payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and reconcile payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions in compliance with company policies.

4. Budgeting and Analysis

• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures.
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making.

5. Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and internal controls.
• Maintain organized and accurate records for audits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor adherence to tax regulations and assist with tax filings as required.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
• Advanced excel skills
