Nature & Purpose of Position:The Career Success Center is seeking to hire an enthusiastic and eager front desk employee whose schedule allows them to work M, W, F or T, Th. The front desk employee is responsible for greeting students with a smile and answering a variety of questions on departmental services. The front desk employee is expected to be professional and adhere to department and institution policies.
Job Duties:The Career Success Center front desk employee will:· Enthusiastically assist visitors by answering various questions regarding our department and university· Aid students with making appointments· Answer phone calls received and transfer to appropriate staff or university contact· Help keep the front desk area clean and organized· Prepare presentation/event materials· Support visiting on-campus employers with varying needs· Work with the department team to set-up and operate career fairs· Relay department functions and services at tabling events and special programs· Perform other duties as assigned· Opportunities to gain knowledge of providing career development services (resume, cover letter, mock interviewing, job searching, etc.)
