Objectives of this Role:
- Expected to develop talent in the craft trades,
- Students will circulate through all areas of the Mechanical Fabrication Center and be exposed to all of the rigors the staff endures under close supervision.
- Complete safety training.
- Work in teams or alone with close supervision.
- Train and operate tools and equipment specific to tasks.
- Assist in staging and completing projects.
- Sign out and log equipment and welding materials.
- Must be pursuing an Associates degree in Machining, CNC, or related degree program.
- 0 years: Welding processes familiarity.
- Ability to work in a team safely.
- Communication skills and ability to interface with different levels of staff.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements:
Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
