About the job
As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role as the primary contact for both external and internal customers. You will have the opportunity to deliver comprehensive support, both technical and non-technical, for the repair and reconditioning of plate heat exchangers, high-speed separators, and decanter products with focus on excellent customer experience, contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is an on-site opportunity located in Greenwood, IN.
As a part of the team, you will:
- Provide quotations to the sales force and/or end customers.
- Conduct contract reviews with the sales team.
- Supply the Customers Scope of Supply to the respective departments.
- Collaborate with the help desk and shop teams to solve repair issues and troubleshoot customer equipment across multiple product lines.
- Assist with developing and communicating repair procedures to the workshop team.
- Prepare and provide pre-estimates, quotes to external and/or internal customers for repairs/reconditioning.
- Collaborate with Inspection/Helpdesk/Sales to request and provide drawings, research repair history, troubleshoot, and redesign equipment.
- Offer direct support to outside sales for expedited requests and information.
- Continuously seek ways to improve repair processes and techniques.
- Act as a liaison for the claims submission system, responsible for registering, creating, and completing remedial actions. Ensure updates are made as needed, in compliance with global claims rules for repair and service claims.
- Provide support for service center projects, team initiatives, and objectives as needed.
- Participate positively in the Alfa Laval Production System (ALPS) and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role reports directly to Service Center Manager and functions with minimal supervision, works with all Team Leaders and Coordinators to provide solutions, solve problems, provide a positive customer experience, and to meet KPI's.

What you know: You have a High School degree or Equivalent with relevant experience in:
- Five years hands-on experience with inspection and repairing/reconditioning in a manufacturing, job shop or customer service environment desirable.
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Ability to read and work from blueprints
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and respectful interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrate ability to perform effectively within a team environment
- Strong understanding of machining and welding techniques
- Ability to work well within stressful situations
This position is based in an office environment with approximately up to 40% of the time in the machine shop, welding area or assembly area.
