Job Description
The Technician position is responsible for providing excellent service to our customers by effectively supporting infrastructure and capital construction projects. Under the supervision of team members, they will be responsible for coordinating work and maintaining communications with Company personnel and external customers. They will ensure Company standards and specifications are applied with regard to water main installation work. In addition, they will assist in As-Built information, etc. in compliance with reporting SOP, and adhere to Company administrative reporting policies and SOX controls. · Performs in-field mark outs, general inspection work, water main activation tasks, and introductory construction management of assigned infrastructure and capital projects to ensure compliance in all areas in routine assignments. Receives assistance in the completion of more complex assignments including project inspection, design, and as-built completion. · Assists in completion of As-Built information in compliance with reporting SOP. · Adheres to Company administrative reporting policies and SOX controls. · Works closely with local teams to ensure successful exchange of information. · Under the supervision of others, may assist with the development of plans and specifications, bidding, and scheduling of infrastructure and capital projects as part of a project team · Takes direction from regional project coordinators and developer services to complete tasks as needed. · The Company is committed to providing a safe workplace. Minimum Qualification
· High School Diploma or GED. · One or more years' experience of experience in water distribution systems or closely related field · Valid Driver's License. · Distribution System Operator License or ability to obtain within a reasonable time frame. · Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. · Ability to read blueprints. · Ability to manage several projects concurrently. · Technical Knowledge of utility work.
