Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Warren, MI

Shift: Second Shift

Pay Rate: Up to $27.50/hour (with 1.5x pay rate for overtime hours beyond 40)

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

• Perform or assist in a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks related to maintenance operations.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and fabricate equipment, fixturing, and tooling for the plant.
• Equipment includes forklifts, material handling equipment, air compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, and robotics.
• Handle any outside contracts associated with equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• Willingness to work any shift.
• Prior work experience in maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical abilities.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, programming, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in performing maintenance on automated lines, air compressors, vacuum equipment, boilers, forklifts, conveyors, HVAC systems, plumbing, and lighting process equipment.
• Basic knowledge of predictive maintenance (temperature, vibration, and oil).
• Read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Installation of 120/240/480V electrical wiring systems.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Proficient in welding (MIG, etc.).
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
• Basic understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Ability to use machine shop equipment (e.g., drill press, mill, lathe).
• Journeymen or equivalent experience required.
