What you'll do...

The Sr. Director of Asset Protection will be responsible for investigations and will lead a team responsible for empowering the organization with proactive monitoring, support, and actionable intelligence to protect our people and facilities while driving profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead remote investigations to uncover process and execution gaps.
  • Provide actionable insights that empower our field teams to excel.
  • Conduct thorough investigations outside of our facilities' purview.
  • Identify and remediate gaps that create theft opportunities.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with field teams and law enforcement agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders and business partners to drive business objectives forward.
  • Create compelling storytelling of key initiatives through executive presentations.

Skills
  • Proven track record in leading complex investigations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of investigators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends, and root causes of issues, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with various departments, including legal, compliance, and field teams, as well as external law enforcement agencies.
  • Expertise in identifying and mitigating risks, particularly those related to theft, fraud, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate potential issues and implement proactive measures to prevent them, ensuring the protection of people and assets.

Essential Functions
  • Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
  • Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.
  • Manages overall financial performance for the Asset Protection Division by analyzing key financial indicators; using financial analysis to create and evaluate strategic opportunities; managing budget and profit and loss (P&L) goals, including the management of security services, shrink, and accident costs; and making strategic decisions to improve financial results.
  • Establishes and achieves division shrink goals by developing and communicating strategy as it relates to inventory management and shrinkage; aligning strategy with overall company goals; developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals globally; and analyzing and assessing current and future trends to implement inventory management strategies for the division.
  • Drives the development of facility security plans across the division by ensuring regional leaders are informed of various crisis situations and the appropriate ways to respond; evaluating crime trends and current events at the national level to ensure proper measures and controls are implemented in all necessary locations; and evaluating risk management plans for upcoming events.
  • Drives safety and accident prevention across the division by analyzing accident trend information; identifying safety risks; developing and leveraging internal and external partnerships; advising regions on how to develop methods for monitoring and ensuring company safety policies and processes are understood and followed; and establishing metrics to monitor the execution of safety programs and practices.
  • Drives analysis and interpretation of information for one or more work streams to improve business efficiency by providing guidance in using various analytical methodologies; leading the development of creative solutions within business areas that reduce shrinkage or cost and meet business goals; and using judgment to assign work activities

Travel
  • Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Travels internationally to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring extended overnight stay

Entry Requirements
  • 4 years' supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Finance, or related field and 5 years' experience in asset protection, store operations, safety design, or related field OR 7 years' experience in asset protection, store operations, safety design, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Finance, or related field
