Attindas is offering exciting opportunities for Yard Spotters -Night Shift (05:00pm - 03:00am) at our Delaware, Ohio manufacturing facility starting at $19.25/hour


Attindas Hygiene Partners designs, manufactures, and markets absorbent hygiene products. The company sells adult incontinence and infant diapers, among other products, into the healthcare, retail, and direct-to-consumer channels under brands including Attends, Indas, and Comfees as well as a wide range of private label brands for retailers.

Job Summary:

• Safely operate a yard jockey tractor to move trailers in and out of dock doors and the drop yard.
• Track and maintain our drop trailer pool.
• Provide outstanding Customer Service to our external Customers and Consumers through the safe, timely, damage and error free loading of finished goods.
• Check drivers in and out of yard through driver's window.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the plant needs.
• Operate Yard Truck in a safe manner during numerous roll-on/roll-off procedures daily involving loaded and empty containers.
• Be cognizant of the reality that the operation is a low mileage severe duty function requiring particular attention to preventive maintenance checks and services as well as actual scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Must be aware that operations occur on asphalt, concrete and gravel surfaces in a hostile environment often contaminated with material subject to embedding in tires.
• Responsible for accounting for records involving container numbers, gross weights, tare weights, and net weights on the scale log sheet to include source and type of material.
• Must function and interact daily with plant personnel and comply with plant safety requirements.
• Communicate using 2-way radio with shipping personnel.
• Security of valuable commodities and the storage area itself are a major area of concern for the Yard Jockey, occasionally requiring guidance from supervisory personnel regarding disposition.
• Personally adheres to all safety procedures and policies.
• Move trailers in and out of dock doors as directed
• Conduct weekly yard checks and trailer inspections for availability and condition
• Complete paperwork correctly and completely in a timely manner
• Duties and Tasks as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

• GED or high school diploma
• CDL training
• Previous Radio Frequency / WMS experience preferred
• CDL or Previous CDL license with 2 years minimum experience (not required)

• Must have ability to stoop and maneuver around equipment
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
